I just finished the Make Him Over Hunt, and I had so much fun! All the people (well mostly!) in the group were super nice and helpful so it really helped me not have a headache when I couldn’t find something. There are *sooo* many outfits, gorgeous and well-done, from the creators who participated. I haven’t even begun to poke around in some of the folders, which is really fun, since I never know what amazing new prize I’ll find from day to day! It is impossible to really pick a favorite! So I literally just picked one at random.

( Hehe~ now I don’t want to change out of my male avvie. So many cute clothes and Cillian was feeling sad being forgotten in my inventory! xD )

This shirt is from SF Designs. It’s#16 in the MHOH! It’s beautifully textured.  I love the details on the cuffs, it’s even comfortable to look at! It has a little pocket on the chest, detailed buttons,  and is perfect for a gothic business man look. =P

Even better, it comes with tons of options. You can have the tie low and loose, pictured above, or tighter and more ‘professional’, or even untied in a just-got-home-from-work kind of look.

I decided to pair it with some rather grungy jeans,  not pictured fully because I’m obsessed with the shirt, haha~! But the jeans are awesome too, as you can see from the super-detailed wrinkles. They look worn in and someone went to a lot of work to make these. I *think* these come from Euphoria House of Fashion, judging from the creators profile. Unfortunately their link doesn’t seem to be working at the moment, but I’ll keep trying. T_T The belt is a cute little neko accessory from Trixxy’s Shop, from the MHOH #15.

Well I’ll do another post showing you guys the lovely lovely stuff from the hunt soonish! I’m already knee deep in the Storybook Hunt, oh man I am so addicted to these things! xD

Uhhgg, I’ve been up all night again, I can’t seem to fix my sleeping pattern back to something normal. D: To pass the time, I thought I might show you guys some hair that I’ve been lovin’ to pieces lately. <3 I admit that I’m an absolute hair fiend! And there are so many new designers out there that I just can’t say no to!

The first hair that I’ve totally fallen for is by Foam! I simply adore how big and froofy and full this hair is – I’d love to have this kind of volume in real life! It is all held together with a gypsy-flavoured scarf headband. It gives it a magical feel, and I just feel like traveling on a caravan through a fairy-filled forest when I wear it. <3 At only 250L, these are well priced. Other hair styles at the shop are also extremely well made, and I highly suggest them! The sculpted feel reminds me a lot of Lamb hair.

This isa beautiful hairstyle that I first came across during the Bunny Hunt! I kept seeing it around – and I just couldn’t seem to find it until the store ::69:: was featured on FabFree and lo and behold .. there it was! It’s only 200L, which is veeery good considering the quality. Lovely sculpty bow, with white and black colors, is included! They also have some super-cute fluffy styles that I just love. Oh if only money were no option! *dreams*

Next up is just about the classiest updo I’ve ever seen in Second Life. It’s called the Gibson Girl, by Miriel. It’s a swept-up bun style with bits of whispy hair around the nape and ears. It’s sooo natural and sophisticated! Lately I can’t take it off and I’ve been having tons of fun dressing up older outfits with it. <3 And one shot won’t do it justice!

Go visit Miriel’s cute shop, she’s having a hunt right now. It’s really difficult though, so be prepared!

I have come across some new freebies that are just my absolute fav! I’ve been wanting to wear lots of summery floaty clothes and this just puts me in the mood for a stroll through a lovely garden  ..

First of all I just want to thank Free*Style for showing me this amazing yellow dress! It dances about your knees  with a pretty sheer second layer, and has lots of detail at the top. The hair by Find Ash is spunky and has braids (braids! I love them so much!) and a Riku-esque headband along with it to keep it all together.

This is an amazing skin from Tyranny.  I don’t need to go into great detail here since everyone is crazy about it, including myself! xD (it took me two days of furious chair stalking to get it!)

Eeee! I was playing in a sandbox when all of a sudden Lamb dropped a hair on me! It’s GORGEOUS. I really love lamb hair, but unfortunately it’s a bit out of my price range at the moment. So this was such a really sweet gift to her group members. <3 I couldn’t have been more pleased, *especially* since red is my favorite hair color.  Thank you thank you Lamb Bellic! <3

After I got my new ‘do, I went frolicking in a glen of wildflowers!

Earlier today I was playing around whith the super cute Sakura dress blogged over at FreeStyle (get it at Xstreet!). I decided to pair it with a bouffant hair style, which you can get for free at the Savior Hair Fair (along with a whole bunch of amazing free hairs). Go here!

Eeeeek! Long post! xD  Just one more thing and I promise I’ll be done! I know this isn’t a movie review blog, but I saw the new Star Trek movie today and I’m pretty much obsessed now. xD I’ve been watching the show since I was a little kid so I’ve been so excited about it. In honor of the movie I did a little Vulcan cosplay! My Discord ears are a bit long as Vulcan ears though .. oh well! xB

Hiyaa! How are you all doing today? Good I hope! Two days ago I was informed through My UglyDorothy update group that a new freebie skin had been released for group members. Unfortunately it’s already sold out, but I loved it so much that I HAAD to have at least one more! Her older skins have been put into boxes at her second store, and have all been reduced down to 500 or so lindens. This is an amazing deal because those skins are AMAZING.

The new skins are called Anya, after Anya Ohmai, my very fav blogger. They come in regular and freckled versions and have lots of different makeups, especially for lips, which are glossy and sweet.

This here is “Anya(M) 07″ … this is definitely my favorite, but they’re all amazing. The freckles are pretty much perfect, though I did get used to having them all over my face with the Imagen Este skin .. xD

The lashes are painted on, delicate and not too overpowering, and the shading on the nose is rounded and too adorable for words. I love the pale toned eyeshadow at the corner, that’s how I like to wear it in real life! The body shading is amazing as well! My favorite parts on the body are the tummy, which is softly shaded and feminine, and the squee-inducing adorable knees!

I even had the privlage to talk to the maker, Sopha McCallen, and she’s the sweetest nicest person ever. So go show Sopha some love and buy one of these amazing skins. <33

The hair I’m wearing comes from**DP**yumyum, one of my favorite places for hair. They make the absolute loveliest braids I’ve ever seen in SL. The wings, not fully shown here, are a daily freebie from Material Squirrel. Luuurve them so much I cannot take them off even if they don’t match my outfit. xB

That’s if for now guys! I’ll probably have lots of time for blogging since I recently got laid off at my job. T_T Oh well, I’ll find something else. You’d think I’d feel more depressed about it, but really I feel like a big burden has lifted off my shoulders. I feel way more inspired than I have in the last few months.  Maybe I’ll even start making clothes now that I have photoshop working again? ^o^

It happened again tonight ..

You know, the wonderful thing about SL is that you can be absolutely anything your heart desires. Short, tall, curvy, skinny, white, black, redhead, blonde, furry, robot. Anything. So it’s not as if I’m jealous – because if I was, I’d simply push that height slider all the way to the max. ;D

I’ve never understood however, why anyone would want to look so stretched and stringy that it just looks *painful*. It’s not even a natural type of thin, either.  But for some reason, a HUGE portion of SL females tend to look like this! It’s fine to be tall, but please for the love of little baby jesus, can’t they adjust the sliders to look a bit more natural?

My avatar was born out of what was originally a freebie shape from Peppermint Blue. But I’ve gradually altered it so much that it doesn’t resemble that shape in the slightest. I’m 5′3″ in world, so that definitely makes me shorter than most avvies.  (In real life, I’m 5′7″, which is just kind of average I think.) I wanted to make her somewhat short, pixie-like, with a bit of a curvy shape but with very small chest region.  This shape is similar to my real-life form, but a bit shorter.  It feels very “me”. I love skins with freckles and moles and other “imperfections” because I find them to be realistic and endearing in a sea of plastic Barbies. I often find shorter girls to be pretty, not all the time, but it’s just something I find aesthetically pleasing.  I know lots of people prefer tallness and tan skin and flawless features. And guys prefer those girls a lot of the time. But I dress for myself, not guys to be honest. And that goes for both IRL and SL. <33

I didn’t say anything to this lady, and I deliberately didn’t want to show her face (cause I’m sure she’s a nice person!), but it was a good example of the type of shape I see all the time in SL. I feel like a total dwarf compared to everyone, but at the same time it doesn’t really bother me in a super-negative way – in fact I kind of like standing out for something else besides showing boobs or hotpants that ride into my neither regions. *eek*

Hiyaaaa!

This is Sveta Decuir, and I’m starting a new blog! I haven’t had one since 07 I think .. so I’m really out of practice. You’ll have to forgive me if I’m not very good. But anyway, here I’ll be blogging about my Second Life, although my regular life will probably trickle in a bunch. I’ll show you my daily look, where you can get it for yourself (lots of freebies!), cool places I’ve visited, rants and ravings, and occasionally small stories that get created when I’m inspired by a lovely location. I’ll always try to give as many credits as possible, but if I forget something it’s probably due to the fact that I’m in a hurry (blogging before work, like now!) or because I simply forgot. So ask me in comments if you’d like to know and I’ll find out right away. :B

I’ve been on SL since May 20th of 2007. So my second rez-day is coming up fast! Not that I’ve been on all the time since then, I did go on an extended hiatus for several months because my computer was all messed up and couldn’t handle the game at all. But now it’s fixed, yayyy! <33

Lately I’ve been playing around with Shadow Viewer (Kirstens Viewer version, read more about it here!) It’s AMAZING. <3 Of course, it can be very glitchy and buggy, and for many it simply doesn’t work. I didn’t think my computer would handle it, so I was super suprised when it did and all these lovely shadows appeared! I took gobs of pictures of course. The provided link will show you how to upload it so try it out!

For these pictures I wore my very favorite fairy outfit, called White Fairy, made by Bare Rose. They have some of the lovliest fantasy costumes in all of SL, for absolutely yummy prices. This was only 150L I think, or really close. (bad sveta for not remembering!)
